The Reece family recently got together to celebrate a new University of South Carolina graduate in the family. They choose the Blue Marlin's Vista room for the reunion. Great food and a cozy atmosphere allowed the whole family to relax and really enjoy spending time together. Here are a few of my favorites.
Talk about a cool kid and some beautiful horses. I met Drew last year doing some photos and her and her mom asked me back to do some more of her new horse and faithful pony.
Let me just say that Drew as always was great, such a smart, funny and wonderfully polite kid and her new horse was also wonderful. But as everyone knows, ponies are sooo bad. And Drew's pony, Secret, was no exception. It is a wonder that I didn't krazy glue his ears forward. I'd like to say that he warmed up to me, but nope, luckily he really loved Drew!!!
Brent and Erica make a great couple. I had such a good time with them at Lake Murray. Here is a quick sneak peek from the session.
After having the opportunity to photograph Heather and Chip's wedding, we decided to do some fun and casual family portraits a few weeks later. Talk about fun and easy going it this family, they were a joy to photograph!
I am so excited to share Joe and Jordane's wedding at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston. I photographed Jordane's sister's wedding so was delighted that I would get to see everyone again on such a wonderful day.
Chip and Heather had a wonderful wedding at the Yacht Cove clubhouse at Lake Murray. With a Fall theme and a Bluegrass band it couldn't have been a sweeter celebration.
This Saturday I was happy to find myself surrounded by dozens of dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, dressed up dogs you name it dogs were everywhere. It was Poochapalooza, an annual event that includes a 5k run, doggie poker walk, costume contest and mini clinics to help with your dog training.
It was a fantastic event that raised money for both PAALS an amazing organization that helps to train dogs for children and adults with physcial disabilities and social needs and the Heartworm project that provides medical care for shelter animals in need.
Here are a few of my favorites and more will be posted for download at www.poochapalooza.net.
The Haile Gold Mine in Kerhsaw, South Carolina hopes to begin mining gold in the next year or so. The town of Kershaw could not be more delighted.
Kershaw is a fantastic little town. I'm totally in love with the old drug store, wouldn't that be fun to restore and run and if you are looking for some great pizza you have to check out Gus's Pizza.
If you would like to read about the mine and the town, go to http://www.thedaily.com/page/2011/10/23/102311-news-gold-mine-1-5/ and you can read all about it.
Recently i had the opportunity to do some lifestyle photos for Eat More T's, a great place to get wonderful t-shirts. They have a new fun, girly line of shirts and needed some fun flirty photos. I have to say that I also really love their USC t-shirts, some of the best slogans and graphics!!!
If you want to see all their shirts, you can check them out at www.eatmorets.com or on Facebook. You can also visit them at their store on the corner of Assembly and Rosewood Drive, right across from the fairgrounds.
I was lucky enough to get to photograph a beautiful little boy "V". His father was a skateboarder back in the day so it only seemed right to make a picture of the little guy with some wheels. He was right at home.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph University of South Carolina media day. I thought it might be fun, in light of the Gamecocks first football win--last night against Eastern Carolina University--to take a look at some of the players having fun and goofing around.
Shannon and Phil are a wonderful couple. Before their big day we took some time to do some portraits around Washington D.C. They are the perfect city couple and are right at home in the nation's capital.
Here are a few of my favorites.
I really love Lake Murray.
You can boat, fish, swim, kayak, canoe, well you get the idea, you can do just about anything on Lake Murray. It covers 78 square miles with 620 or so miles of shoreline. It supplies electric power and is the major source of drinking water for Columbia. It's a fun place to visit and don't forget about Dreher Island State Park, a great place to camp.
I had the best time with Amy as we took her maternity photos
This was her third child and she wanted to do something she hadn't done before. How cool right?? So, along with her fantastic husband, Jess and her two adorable kids we got down to business and had a great time. Since it was so hot we did all the photos in her living room.
